9.hyperbole 誇飾

10.pum 雙關 homonym, homophone, homograph.
What do lawyers do when they die? Lie still.
They did not write well, so they tried to right the wrong.
Finding tears on her coat, she burst into tears.

11.oxymoron 矛盾修飾
honest thief, carefully careless, victorious defeat….

12.parallelism 排比
He does not ride, nor shoot, nor fish, nor swim.

13.antithesis 對照
Nor that I loved Caesar less, but I loved Rome more.

14.rhetorical question 設問
Who can bear such an insult?

15.climax and anticlimax 層遞
I am sorry. I am very sorry. I am so extremely sorry.

16.catchword repetition  頂真
Still he sought for fame-----fame, that last infirmity of a noble mind.

  在這我解說一下這些修辭怎麼用好了:

  1.simile 明喻   就是有像某物之類的, 有出現like as之類的譬喻法, 叫做simile
    My heart is like a singing bird.

2.metaphor 隱喻  一樣是譬喻　但是沒有用like as之類的字去譬喻, 這叫做metaphor
  He is a mule.
